Job Title: Pre-Owned Sales Consultant

Johnson Lexus of Raleigh is always looking to expand our team of Pre-Owned Sales Consultants. We seek professional, goal-oriented, talented individuals who will help our guests find the right vehicle, not just a vehicle, and will build lasting relationships by delivering a transparent, consultative purchase experience; confidently presenting the value, quality, and history of our pre-owned inventory.

Essential Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide a professional, personalized vehicle purchasing experience from initial contact through delivery.
• Build rapport with guests to understand their needs and recommend pre-owned vehicles that best fit their lifestyle, budget, and driving preferences.
• Follow the Johnson Automotive sales process to deliver a consistent, consultative, relationship-based sales experience.
• Present the features, technology, safety systems, vehicle history, and value of each pre-owned vehicle to help guests make informed purchasing decisions.
• Research available inventory, vehicle specifications, incentives, financing options, and accessories to provide accurate and timely information.
• Explain vehicle history reports, certification benefits (when applicable), warranties, and protection products to build guest confidence and trust.
• Prepare and complete all required sales documentation accurately and promptly for Finance processing.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Lexus products as well as competitive makes and models represented within the dealership's pre-owned inventory.
• Build lasting guest relationships through exceptional follow-up, proactive communication, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding ownership experience.
• Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction while working toward individual, team, and dealership performance goals.
• Accurately document all guest interactions, sales activities, and follow-up within the dealership CRM.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive sales experience required; pre-owned and/or luxury automotive sales experience preferred.
• Ability to confidently present the value of pre-owned vehicles and overcome objections through product knowledge, transparency, and a consultative sales approach.
• Stay informed of inventory changes and market trends to effectively match guests with available vehicles and maximize sales opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional guest service and build long-term client relationships.
• Professional appearance with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient with dealership technology, CRM systems, and digital communication tools, or able to quickly learn new systems.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
