Die Cast Engineering Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Die Cast Engineering Manager to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of die casting processes to produce high-quality metal components efficiently and reliably. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the integration of advanced engineering tools. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, and development of die casting dies and trim tooling.
• Ability to develop annual and semi-annual action plans that correspond with the company initiatives.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects and reduce carbon footprints.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry, company standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage engineering projects, budgets, and timelines.
• Train and mentor engineering staff on best practices in die casting.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds, or allocates funds from department budget.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervises members in the Production Engineering Department.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university, or seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in die casting or related manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Strong knowledge of die design, metallurgy, and process optimization.
• Leadership experience in managing engineering teams.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with IATF and ISO Standards.

Travel Requirements:

• Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs. 1-2 weeks internationally.
