Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 base + bonus and full benefits (medical, dental, vision, pto and holidays, etc)
About the Role


LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our client's growing team in Elkridge, MD. This position will play a key role in supporting pre-construction efforts by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure competitive and timely project bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scope of work
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, and subcontractor costs
• Review architectural and construction plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, project management, and operations) to develop competitive proposals
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids
• Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, pricing, and project details
• Assist in developing proposals, budgets, and bid packages
• Track project timelines and ensure deadlines are met for all estimates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in construction (estimating preferred, but open to related backgrounds such as Project Engineer or Assistant PM)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
