Sanitation Technician

Overview Reports to: Sanitation Manager. Department: Sanitation . Classification: Physical Classification: 1-17 (see Back & Task Chart). Wage: $24.23/hour . JOB SUMMARY: Disassemble, clean and assemble all plant food processing equipment using high- and low-pressure hot water, corrosive chemicals, and other cleaning equipment. Responsibilities Disassemble, clean, and reassemble food-processing equipment as necessary. Clean equipment and overhead areas using high-pressure hot water hoses, chemicals, foamers, sanitizers, scrubbing equipment, and related tools. Prepare equipment for the next day\'s food production after cleaning. Perform cleaning and sanitation duties in high-noise, temperature-variable environments with appropriate PPE. Dry pick up; drain fryer properly; tear down the filter for cleaning; gel the fryer, filter, and conveyor; foam the fryer, filter, and conveyor as part of sanitation tasks. Operate high-pressure cleaning to ensure room cleanliness and check for deficiencies. Flush fryer pipes and refill the fryer; set fryer temperature as required; boil fryer weekly. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required. Qualifications Display a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills. Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day; frequently bend, lift, and twist. Must pass the company physical classification test for essential functions of the position.
