Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Develop and prioritize individualized care plans in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy; recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ADN or ASN degree required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience prior to travel; well-rounded ICU background preferred
• Recent Neuro ICU experience highly desirable
• Prior travel nursing experience with a history of contract extensions and minimal breaks in service
• BSN preferred
