PackerFull time Americas - North America - United States - Calhoun - ACD Calhoun GAResponsibilitiesOperates perforation equipment.Inspects finished product quality before performing operations.Operates controls for perforation robot cell. Monitors robot/perforator operations.Complete operation to specifications. Ensure all paperwork is completed to company standardsAssembles/stacks rolls per customer/in-house requirements.Obtains packaging material to complete order and prepare for shipment.Completes quality control procedures including roll unwind, perforation inspection, diameter inspection, perforation centering, and perforation alignmentOperates PIT to transport materials.Completes all recordkeeping requirements including printing, labeling, stretch-wrappingMust be able to set-up a line independentlyUses JD Edwards scanning equipment to log production and record inventory transactionsPerforms housekeeping duties to maintain work area based on hygiene requirementsEnsure all BRC Food Safety Standards are followedOperates Side Cutter.Sets up cutter to product specifications.Ensure accuracy and maintain quality according to work order specificationComplete other operations/responsibilities highlighted above.Operator Assisting.Provide assistance to operator(s) when running particular products.OCCASIONAL JOB FUNCTIONSFill-in/Relief Operator (fully trained)Successfully cross trained to provide fill-in support for extruder and/or pelletizer.Performs general duties such as plant housekeeping, clean-up, or other duties as assigned by supervisor.MiscellaneousCompletes all work in a safe mannerFollows all safety rules.Complies with operating procedures and quality standards.All other duties assigned by supervisor/managerQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with extrusion experience preferred.Ability to adhere to Amcor's Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards.Ability to read and write to complete required forms and verify quality products are produced.Ability to work independently.Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.Ability to handle & resolve problems.Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days or nights, for 12 or more hours.Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, for extended periods multiple times per day.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.Must be punctual; at line on time.Must be able to obtain LOTO certificationAbility to read a ruler to 1/8"/tape measure and gauge caliper device.Basic math skills.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.Our ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
