Technology that supports the buildings and industry of today and tomorrow requires a wide range of talents and skill sets.**About this role**As a Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the designing of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge you will work on larger and moderately more complex projects.**Key Responsibilities:*** Design and program building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.* Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.* Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.* Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.* Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.* Test programming and interfaces prior to implantation.* Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met.* Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.* Support of functional testing for building systems.**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of HVAC industry experienceOR* High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of HVAC industry experience.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Associate’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Construction discipline.* Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.* Working knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.* Working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.* Experience with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.* Experience with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio, or similar software.* Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.* Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.* Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.**Pay Range**The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually.
