WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Field Mechanic, you’ll be the person our customers count on when their equipment needs to get back to work. You will travel to customer locations and active jobsites throughout the area to diagnose, service, and repair heavy trucks, heavy trenching equipment, directional drills, and other heavy construction equipment. Your work will play a critical role in keeping our customers productive, minimizing downtime, and ensuring their equipment is operating at peak performance.

Each day, you’ll troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain issues and perform the repairs necessary to get equipment back up and running. You may repair or rebuild engines, transmissions, drive systems, hydraulic pumps and motors, valves, electrical systems, steering components, and other major equipment systems. Welding and fabrication work may also be required at times.

Picture yourself traveling throughout the area in a fully equipped Ditch Witch West service vehicle, tackling challenging repairs on large, specialized equipment right where our customers need you. You’ll work independently, solve problems in the field, interact directly with customers, and have the satisfaction of knowing they can count on you to keep their equipment moving.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• 2 years electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and repair preferred
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record. CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools.

Compensation: $33-50/hr (Depending on Experience)
