Careers with our Clients through Forvis Mazars Search Senior Corporate Accountant – Raleigh NC Our client is an established and well-respected construction company, seeking a Senior Accountant to join the finance and accounting team, serving as the right hand to the CFO. We are seeking someone with solid construction accounting experience and a background that includes some project costing and inventory accounting (fleet, equipment, etc.). Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and account analyses for accuracy Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and variance analysis Partner with the CFO to review financial results, including P&L trends and cost drivers Assist with job cost accounting by tracking and analyzing project costs Analyze large data sets to uncover issues and opportunities for improvement Identify and implement process improvements and strengthen controls Support audit preparation and compliance activities Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of construction or project-based accounting experience Job costing experience, understanding of project financials, including strong reconciliation skills Software: MS Excel proficiency, with experience utilizing ERP systems Self-starter with an analytical mindset who takes initiative to dig into the why behind the numbers This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire opportunity. #J-18808-Ljbffr Forvis Mazars US Executive Search Practice
