Oncology Sales Representative - Shreveport, LA

Merck

Merck seeks an Oncology Sales Representative for the Shreveport, Louisiana territory, covering multiple Louisiana and Texas regions. The role involves engaging healthcare customers, educating stakeholders on oncology products, and driving sales goals within a field-based position.

Responsibilities

Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the territory through collaboration with team members
Meet with key stakeholders to understand practice structure, identify needs, and build business relationships
Communicate patient-centered product rationale and indicated uses using approved messaging and resources
Analyze market trends, drug distribution channels, and prescription patterns to develop territory strategies
Coordinate with extended care team including customer team leaders, key account managers, and nurse educators

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 6 years sales experience, or high school diploma plus 8 years equivalent professional experience
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle independently
Willingness to travel 10-15% overnight and attend national meetings and conferences
Reside in or near the assigned district territory
Healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience preferred, especially in oncology
