Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of respiratory care for patients with breathing disorders at a hospital in Sheboygan, WI. The position will involve ventilator management, airway support, arterial blood gas sampling, medication administration via MDI and nebulizer, code response, and working across multiple inpatient areas including ICU/stepdown, medical-surgical, and the emergency department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current Wisconsin respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year of experience as an RRT required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS required.
• Experience with airway and ventilator management, ABG punctures, inhaled medications, and code response.
• Experience with EPIC charting and vent platforms such as Hamilton C1 and Servo-U preferred.
• Ability to float to other units throughout the hospital.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; will accept CRT if RRT not available.
• NRP preferred for floating to NICU/pediatrics; pediatric and NICU experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1700-0530.
• Weekend rotation: every 3rd weekend.
• Holiday expectations: one summer and one winter holiday.
• Schedule cycle provided six weeks at a time with three weeks' notice.
• Floating required throughout the hospital to all units.
• Orientation: 2-3 days up to one week depending on comfortability.
• Department staffing: typically two RTs at night; three RTs during day; RT educator available.
