Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive clinical nursing care to patients within the physician clinic setting. This role supports physicians through direct patient care, clinical documentation, procedural assistance, care coordination, and communication with patients and external healthcare entities to ensure high-quality, efficient care delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake assessments to identify medical concerns and document findings in the electronic medical record
• Function as a clinical scribe, documenting patient visits in real time
• Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures
• Obtain and accurately record vital signs, weight, and other pertinent clinical data
• Present patient information to providers for review
• Review physician orders, treatment plans, lab requests, and follow-up instructions with patients
• Return patient phone calls and document all patient communications appropriately
• Obtain outside medical records, including emergency department documentation and specialty consults
• Coordinate transfer and accessibility of imaging studies (CT, ultrasound, etc.) for provider review
• Document clinical services for billing purposes
• Complete FMLA, disability, and return-to-work paperwork under physician direction
• Draft patient communications regarding test results and provider recommendations

Experience

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency utilizing EMR/EHR systems is essential (Athena Health is a bonus)
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Preferred previous clinic, surgical, or specialty practice experience
