The Server Assistant / Busser plays a key role in supporting smooth dining room service by keeping tables prepared, assisting servers, maintaining cleanliness, and helping the team deliver excellent hospitality from start to finish.

Position Overview

The Server Assistant / Busser supports the front-of-house service team during lunch, dinner, events, and club functions. This position helps ensure the dining room is clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service at all times.

This is an active, hands-on role for someone who is dependable, observant, and willing to help wherever needed. A great Server Assistant notices the small details, responds quickly, and helps create a seamless experience for members and guests.

Core Responsibilities

Dining Room Support

• Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and properly
• Assist servers with water service, bread service, table maintenance, and guest needs
• Remove used plates, glassware, silverware, and trash throughout service
• Maintain clean and organized service stations
• Support table setup before, during, and after service

Member & Guest Experience

• Greet members and guests warmly when appropriate
• Stay aware of the dining room and respond quickly to service needs
• Help ensure members experience clean tables, polished settings, and attentive support
• Communicate professionally with servers, managers, and fellow team members

Service Readiness

• Stock service areas with silverware, glassware, linens, menus, condiments, and supplies
• Polish glassware, silverware, and service pieces as needed
• Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties
• Help maintain cleanliness in dining rooms, patios, and service areas

Teamwork & Communication

• Support servers, food runners, bartenders, and managers during service
• Communicate when supplies are low or when tables need attention
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, team-focused work environment
• Follow direction from supervisors and managers with a willingness to learn

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
