Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required License: Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Patient ratio experience of 4 Charting system experience required; Cerner experience preferred Travel experience required Description: The registered nurse will provide care in an emergency room setting. This role includes managing patients with various acute conditions. Candidates should possess skills in abdominal pain assessment, acute psychosis management, and drug overdose treatment. Experience with ventilated patients and central line management is essential. The nurse will be responsible for performing intubation and managing respiratory infections. Proficient use of emergency medications and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG is required. This position involves managing mental health crises and providing support during traumatic situations. Candidates must demonstrate effective triaging skills and be able to perform phlebotomy. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial. The nurse will engage in patient education and actively contribute to interdisciplinary care.
