Cardiac Electrophysiologist - Our Organization

Full-Time | Main Hospital Campus (Arlington, VA)

We are looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to become part of our well-established and expanding cardiovascular program at our main hospital campus located in Arlington, Virginia. This is a full-time, employed attending physician role that allows for the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused electrophysiology within a collaborative, community-oriented health system in Northern Virginia.

Position Overview

The chosen candidate will deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac electrophysiology services , focusing on the evaluation and management of patients experiencing complex cardiac arrhythmias. The Electrophysiologist will collaborate closely with general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and cardiovascular support teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based patient care.

This position provides a well-rounded combination of procedural and clinical responsibilities within a modern cardiovascular program backed by strong institutional support.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients with conditions such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, syncope, and conduction disorders.
  • Conduct diagnostic electrophysiology studies and perform catheter ablation procedures for both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.
  • Implant and oversee cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices.
  • Provide outpatient electrophysiology consultations and ongoing follow-up care.
  • Conduct inpatient electrophysiology consultations and procedural care as required.
  • Interpret ambulatory monitoring studies and device interrogations.
  • Participate in shared call coverage with colleagues in cardiology and electrophysiology.
  • Document all clinical interactions in the electronic medical record while adhering to best practice guidelines.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiology fellowship .
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship .
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
  • Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia.
  • Strong clinical abilities with a focus on patient-centered and team-oriented care.
