About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have experience retrieving post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements, care for stroke patients, and administering amiodarone drips and Cardizem drips. Description: Unit Information: The unit has a total of 36 beds. There are 70 staff members on the unit. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPNs, and 3 PCTs on day shift. For the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPNs, and 3 PCTs. Patient ratios are 4 to 5 patients per nurse. The unit is equipped with Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines. The EMR system used is Meditech. The ideal candidate will possess a fast-paced and high-energy personality. A strong sense of teamwork is essential for this role. Candidates with NIH experience will be prioritized. Floating may be required to other telemetry departments, med-surg, or PCU. The dress code for RNs is grey scrubs. Weekend shifts require working 3 weekends in a 4-week schedule. This includes working Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday days.
