Automotive Service Advisor

Great Lakes Ford of Muskegon is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team. The responsibilities of a Service Advisor include greeting customers, listening to their needs, and scheduling appointments as needed. Service Advisor Compensation and Benefits: Competitive Pay - Salary + Commission No weekends Flexible Working Hours Health Insurance available Earned vacation and Earned Sick Time off 401(K) Service Advisor Responsibilities: Greet customers promptly Obtain customer and vehicle information Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts Establish follow up time Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order Explain all completed work and charges to customers Service Advisor Requirements: Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds preferred Exceptional Communication Skills Ability to identify the problem quickly Automotive Knowledge Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant Very energetic personality A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization Personal and professional integrity Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications Minimum of 1 year in service department Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills Positive, friendly attitude High school diploma or equivalent We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
