What You’ll Do At DBH Qualified, licensed clinical counseling professional (Social Work, Licensed Counselor, Chemical Dependency Counseling). Help incarcerated men and women gain necessary skills to live substance‑free and productive lives. Utilize clinical skills to effect change in others’ lives. Work in an environment that supports positive life change. Challenge irrational belief systems. Serve as the Correctional Program Coordinator (Counselor). Recovery Services Therapeutic Community Correctional Program Coordinators use evidence‑based treatment approaches in the treatment of incarcerated individuals who are in need of substance abuse recovery programming. Job Duties Provide alcohol and drug group counseling and ancillary services to participants on your caseload at the assigned correctional institution. Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in the electronic health record. Monitor attendance and participation progress in substance abuse programs. Provide continuing care planning. Schedule is Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm (hours may vary). Therapeutic Communities are open‑ended programs with a counselor‑to‑client ratio of 1:20. Monitor activities of volunteers and oversee support/fellowship meetings. Compensation and Schedule Hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union). Pay range: $11 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. Step 1 of the pay range schedule initially, with opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and yearly raise thereafter. Position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8 am–5 pm, hours may vary. Qualifications Hold current certification or credentials in one of the following: Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II, III, or Independent; Licensed Independent Social Worker; Professional Clinical Counselor; Professional Counselor; Licensed Social Worker; Licensed Physician; Licensed Psychologist; Registered Nurse; Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist or Independent Marriage & Family Therapist. Must possess a valid state license or credential as listed.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS

May be exposed to potentially dangerous inmates/juveniles. May be required to work weekends and travel. Required Educational Transcripts Official transcripts are required for all post‑secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application. Applicants must submit an official transcript before receiving a formal employment offer. Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days will result in disqualification.
