Android Developer

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Android applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose, with experience building scalable, user-friendly mobile applications. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and providing technical support to offshore development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose.
- Build scalable, secure, and responsive mobile applications following Android best practices.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and backend developers to deliver new features.
- Optimize application performance, stability, and user experience.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries into Android applications.
- Support application releases, deployments, and production issue resolution.
- Provide technical guidance and support to offshore development teams as needed.
- Stay current with Android platform updates and emerging mobile technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of Android application development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI development.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android architecture components, and Material Design principles.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MVVM architecture and Android Jetpack libraries.
- Knowledge of Coroutines, Flow, LiveData, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
- Familiarity with unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android applications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
