Floater-Salsa Department

Job Summary

The Salsa floater serves as a substitute for any team member. Has comprehensive knowledge of the general operations of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
• Assists in mixing, stacking salsa boxes, opens tomato cans, disposes material, assembles boxes, mixes jalapeno, and packs salsa.
• Produces required amount of product within the established specifications and tolerances.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper configuration and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and tidy work area.
• Works extended hours when necessary.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or upper management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow directions and work well as a team.
• Deep understanding or the ability to quickly learn the production general operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Observe and follow the company's safety rules and regulations.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency with hand tools.

Education and Experience:

• No high school diploma required; but preferred
• At least one year of related experience not required.

Physical requirements:

• Prolonged periods working on the feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that involve push-ups and bending over frequently.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Ability to read instructions, operate machines and inspect product.

1st shift 5 am to 1 pm
2nd shift 1 pm to 9 pm
