Engineer/Technical Analyst - Undersea Warfare

The Undersea Technology Portfolio, within SPA's Sea, Land, & Air Division, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across the undersea, naval special warfare, and expeditionary warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements, acquisition, and science and technology. SPA has a future need for an Engineer/Technical Analyst with Submarine Combat systems experience. Responsibilities Seeking multiple candidates with various levels of experience. The candidate will support a PEO (SUB) Program Office and act as an engineer. The candidate will provide engineering expertise to government Program or Project Managers who oversee Undersea Acoustic Systems, Combat Submarines, Imaging Systems, or Training Systems. The candidate will: Provide Undersea Weapon System engineering subject matter expertise to NAVSEA affiliated PEOs and program managers for selected appropriated programs. Assist in overseeing and executing research and technology initiatives and weapon system development. Assist government program managers in developing weapon system requirements and acquisition documentation and program actions. Support government program managers in developing, managing, and evaluating contractual documentation and deliverables from the prime system integrator in support of system design and development acquisition milestones. Provide engineering realism to the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) for undersea warfare systems. This includes assisting in developing fiscal estimates, exhibits, documents, briefs and schedules to satisfy the PPBE process. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of Navy acquisition / In‑Service programs Minimum 5 years working with Submarine Combat/Weapons Systems Experience developing weapon system requirements and acquisition documentation and program actions Ability to lead a project and interface with an end‑item customer Active Secret Security DoD clearance Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (technical or managerial discipline) Experience with SWFTS, Cyber, Sub Combat Systems, Fire Control, BYG‑1, Weapons Control highly desired PMS 401, 425, 435 or IWS‑5 experience highly desired Sub Electronic Warfare, BLQ‑10, ICADF Relevant experience on Navy Sonar/radar, Combat System, Training System, Electronic Warfare or Imaging System, or on other Undersea Warfare programs #J-18808-Ljbffr Systems Planning & Analysis
