A&P Mechanic

HQ Aero is currently recruiting for experienced A&P MECHANICS in Lexington, KY.

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for removing and reinstalling aircraft interiors, rigging flight controls, landing gear changes, repair, modification, and routine maintenance on aircraft as required. Operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned. Working on small Cessnas to corporate jets, and helicopters from the helicycle to an AS 365N3.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• A&P License is required, and IA is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of A&P experience with deep knowledge of GA Airplanes, Lite and medium helicopters, military, regional and/or commercial aircraft experience is required.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
• Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

Job Type:

• Contract to Hire.
• Day shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Bonus offered

• Be able to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to climb ladders, apply finger and hand dexterity in using hand tools, be able to move around the shop/hangar area and within aircraft continuously throughout the workday.
