Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS and PALS Certification Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics. The nurse will work night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. The unit has 38 beds with an average staff of 15. The pediatric unit provides high-quality care for patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios can vary based on patient acuity. The charge nurse oversees the team on each shift. Staff members may include up to 10 RNs and 3 Patient Care Technicians. Equipment used includes EMR systems. Preferred certifications include APHON Chemo Certification. Typical procedures may include respiratory care, central line care, and postoperative care. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teamwork and patient care. Floating to various pediatric departments may be required. Weekends are required, with a commitment to 4 weekend shifts.
