Louisiana Community Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented House Cleaner / Homemaker to join our team providing in-home support services to waiver program clients. We specialize in helping individuals with disabilities, seniors, and people with special needs maintain clean, safe, and comfortable homes so they can live independently in their communities.Position OverviewAs a House Cleaner / Homemaker, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our waiver clients by performing thorough, respectful, and personalized cleaning services in their homes. This is more than a cleaning job - it is meaningful work that supports health, safety, dignity, and independence. You will work directly in clients' homes, following individualized service plans while building trusting relationships with the people you serve.Key Responsibilities• Perform high-quality housekeeping including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen and bathroom sanitization, and trash removal.• Use client-approved, hypoallergenic cleaning products and methods tailored to allergies, respiratory conditions, and mobility needs.• Maintain clear pathways, organize personal items carefully, and reduce fall hazards to support client safety.• Complete light laundry, dishwashing, and basic home organization as outlined in each client's care plan.• Communicate professionally with clients, family members, and support coordinators.• Document services provided and report any safety or maintenance concerns.• Respect cultural preferences, privacy, and confidentiality at all times (HIPAA compliant).Requirements • Previous professional house cleaning or homemaking experience (1+ years preferred).• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward individuals with disabilities.• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for extended periods).• Flexible availability including some mornings, afternoons, or evenings.• Excellent references demonstrating reliability and trustworthiness.What We Offer• Competitive pay with opportunities for raises based on performance.• Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.• Mileage reimbursement for travel between client homes.• Ongoing training in person-centered care, infection control, and waiver program requirements.• Supportive team environment with a mission-driven company that truly values its employees and clients.• The satisfaction of making a real difference in people's daily lives.If you are dependable, kind-hearted, and take pride in creating clean and welcoming spaces, we want to hear from you!
