Freelance Social Media Content Creator (Jewelry)

We’re an NYC-based brand building a distinct, elevated social presence that feels both intentional and resonant. This is an opportunity to help shape the visual voice of a brand gaining momentum. Role description: We’re looking for a freelance social media content creator to partner with us on both creative direction and execution. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can help define a social-first visual direction, receive product samples, shoot original content, edit short-form video, and design post-ready feed and story assets that feel current, refined, and distinctive. Responsibilities Help define social-first visual direction, content pillars, and tone Develop moodboards, references, and creative concepts for content Create a simple 3–4 week content plan and rollout approach Shoot iPhone/social-first product content with Hineni jewelry samples Create styled flat lays, detail shots, simple on-body content, and short video clips Edit Reels and short-form videos Design feed posts, carousels, and story assets Refine captions, messaging direction, and content themes Build a library of social assets Optional: support creative direction for a future campaign shoot, including shot list and social-first capture recommendations Produce feed posts or carousels, Reels/short-form videos, and other post-ready assets Maintain an edited content library and suggested posting plan Qualifications Strong visual point of view with experience creating content for jewelry, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands Ability to make a brand feel premium and relevant without relying on overly templated content Experience shooting content on iPhone and with product samples Experience editing Reels/short-form video Ability to design feed posts, carousels, and story assets Experience refining captions, messaging direction, and content themes Willingness to build a library of social assets and contribute creatively to a brand’s evolving identity Contract and application notes This is an initial project-based contract with potential for ongoing monthly work Budget: Project-based; compensation based on proposed scope and experience.
