Senior Security Engineer (Integration Focus - AT)

Role Overview In support of the U.S. Navy’s PEO IWS-X initiative, the Senior Security Engineer designs, implements, and tests security systems that protect Critical Program Information (CPI). The role emphasizes hardware/software security, reverse engineering, and program protection across the system development lifecycle. Responsibilities Design, implement, and test security measures to protect CPI. Plan and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities and test events. Develop AT plans, PPPs, Security Classification Guides, and related technical documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security measures are integrated across the SDLC. Assess program risks and develop mitigation strategies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, liberal arts, or related field; master’s degree preferred. Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required. Applicable 8570 / 8140 requirements including certification for IAT Level III. Active DoD Secret Clearance required. 7+ years of experience in security engineering, with integration expertise in Anti-Tamper (AT). Experience with hardware/software security and reverse engineering. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical approach to integration challenges. Expertise in security testing and documentation. Familiarity with SDLC, defense systems, and export control regulations. Excellent communication and technical writing skills. Background in systems engineering or software development highly desirable. Must be able to commute to the Dahlgren, VA area on a daily basis. Basic Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required.
