PCU Registered Nurse - Nights

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PCU Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The ideal candidate will be PALS certified and have significant pediatric experience, as they will be required to float to all like units. This role involves working in a busy healthcare environment, managing cardiac drip patients, and utilizing EPIC charting for patient care documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric and adult patients in the PCU.
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, as required.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for patient documentation and charting.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to similar units as needed, demonstrating flexibility in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry Registered Nurse experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility.
• Pediatric experience is required.
• Current NJ Registered Nurse License is mandatory.
• Current PALS certification and American Heart Association BLS certification are required.
• Current ACLS certification and NIHSS certification are also required.

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 36 hours per week, specifically on nights, every other weekend.
