Check out our website to learn more and apply today!Job Description:Position Summary:Operates all computer aided design (CAD) system and peripheral equipment and exercises considerable skill in the use of graphics commands and preprogrammed material to develop drawings. Maintain accurate sequencing and meeting all scheduling deadlines. Collaborate with the team to deliver a quality product.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices, and techniquesDevelop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, and learns how to use all software optionsAnalyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawingsApply judgement and makes decisions with respect to drawings and input interpretationReview work performed to determine accuracy with input from supervisorPerform additional assignments per supervisor’s directionDevelop increased proficiency in system operations with a resulting increase in productivityDevelop cabinet layouts, designs and renderings as required by clients and co-workersReview cabinetry orders for accuracy and oversee timely deliveriesCommunicate effectively with team members, sub-contractorsCommunicate delays or issues to supervisor while finding ways to improveEnsure extreme attention to detail and quality controlProvide safety and technical support to team members assigned to the Mill ShopProcess submittals and shop drawingsMaintain Request for Information (RFI) logSkills and QualificationsProficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.Strong Microsoft skills.Ability to read and interpret full construction document setsStrong problem-solving skills in active construction environmentsMust be able to plan tasksStrong attention to detailKnowledge of design standardsEducation and ExperienceAssociate’s degree in engineering or drafting technology or equivalent combination of formal education and training experience.2–5+ years of CAD or construction coordination experience preferredCommercial construction experience strongly preferredValid driver’s license with a good driving recordWork Environment and Physical RequirementsRegular interaction with active construction sitesAbility to walk jobs, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate uneven surfacesAbility to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAbility to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periodsMust be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required.Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally more.Must be able to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.Must be able to stand and walk for long periodsCK Construction is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action federal and state contractor.
