Food and Beverage Server – Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is located in the Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. The hotel is part of a new development featuring 17 ski lifts, approximately 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of about 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the world’s largest “ski beaches.” The Grand Hyatt comprises 436 luxury accommodations, including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units, as well as approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, a lobby‑level 3‑meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après‑ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool, three whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area. The hotel is a place where high expectations are not just met—they’re exceeded. Responsibilities Submit guest menu selections and present food and beverage preferences. Demonstrate menu knowledge and provide recommendations from the hotel’s extensive cuisine and drink offerings. Engage in casual conversation to create an exceptional restaurant experience through your service attributes. Perform general restaurant preparation and maintain a sanitary environment. Qualifications True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Refined verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight and stand for long periods. Previous food‑service experience required (hospitality industry and/or fine‑dining preference). Current alcohol server certification and/or food‑service permit as required by local or state government agency; additional certifications as required.
