HousepersonAs a Houseperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of public areas and corridors of the hotel.This position requires flexible scheduling availability, specifically from 8:00AM-4:30PM and flexibility for weekends and holidays.Job Requirements:Upkeep the public areasAssisting with Housekeeping as much as needed by providing basic housekeeping duties (changing the sheets, changing and arranging towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guest check out)Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programsRecognize and report potential safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and disturbancesMaintaining shelf organization in the storerooms and replenishing supplies as neededCleaning furniture, elevators, glass, planters, light fixtures, carpets, walls, and more in public areas such as the lobby, pool, and public restroomsDelivering special request items such as cribs to guest roomsJob Qualifications:Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievementMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessaryAbility to work well in stressful situationsReadily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest serviceThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
