Job Description

The Operating Room at our Level I trauma center, which features 11 high-volume surgical rooms, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse. This unit handles a variety of cases including ortho, trauma, and spine surgeries, with minimal pediatric cases. This position entails a fast-paced environment requiring strong skills across multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgery in a high-volume Operating Room.
• Assist in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro (specifically craniotomies) procedures.
• Utilize Cerner for documentation and patient record management.
• Participate in the team-based care plan to enhance patient outcomes.
• Be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively in trauma situations.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room, including experience with high-volume surgical cases.
• Experience in a Level I trauma center is required; Level II trauma experience may also be considered if from a comparable facility.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
