Simulator Technician

CAE, one of the largest business aviation training facilities, is looking for a Simulator Technician in our newest training center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.## **Description*** Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.* Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.* Perform pre‐flight and post‐flight tasks on designated simulators.* Perform basic visual alignments.* Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).* Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.* Complete all designated training activities.* Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.* Learn and comply with CAE’s quality management system.* Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.* Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.* Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.* Perform required administrative tasks.* Work primarily at the Las Vegas Training Facility in Nevada.## ## **Minimum Qualifications*** 2‐year technical degree or equivalent related training.* 1 year of simulator‐related experience in one of the following: + Electronics/avionics + Automated systems + Computer networking repair and troubleshooting* Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.* Knowledge of analog and digital theory.* Basic skills in operating test equipment.* Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair.* Some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite.* Able to travel (less than 10%).**Benefits*** an environment where your initiatives will be recognized and valued* the opportunity to travel internationally* the opportunity to work on a variety of projects on a multidisciplinary team* the opportunity to represent the organization at external conventions and conferences* the possibility to work from home occasionally flexible schedules* attractive employee benefits**Physical Effort*** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
