Operations Supervisor CNC Machining----3rd Shift (10:00 PM-6:30 AM Su-Th ) Woodward's Aerospace Division in Niles, Illinois is looking for a proactive and results-driven Operations Supervisor to lead and support our front-line team in achieving daily production goals and operational excellence. Resource Management: Allocates and coordinates resources effectively to meet operational objectives. Performance Management: Conducts performance evaluations, provides feedback, manages member development, recognition and ensures accountability and policy adherence. Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves day-to-day technical and operational issues and coaching and mentoring team's problem-solving capabilities. Process Improvement: Collaborates with key stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness to improve the production system and meet customer demand. Key Skills Leadership: The ability to guide, motivate, and inspire teams to achieve goals while fostering collaboration, accountability, and a positive work environment. Team Focus: Ability to effectively lead team through 5S, Visual Management, standardized work, and Daily Management System. Computer Skills: Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for operational reporting. Ability to analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP. Basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for inventory and production scheduling Emotional Intelligence: The ability to recognize, understand, and manage your own emotions while effectively perceiving and responding to the emotions of others. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in CNC Machining: 5 axis Mill/Turn, 3-4 axis Lathes, 3-4 axis Mills, Swiss, Gear Hobbing/Shaping, OD/ID Grinding, EDM Supervision in a union environment This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
