Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
• Active North Carolina state SLP license is required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience providing SLP services in an acute care or hospital environment preferred.
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, instrumental assessments (FEES or MBS) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with stroke, neurological, and critical care populations preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and hospital documentation standards preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00–18:00.
• Schedule includes weekend rotation.
• Shift length typically 7–10 hours per shift.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide high-quality speech and swallowing care that improves patient outcomes in an acute hospital environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support stroke, trauma, cardiothoracic, neonatal, and pediatric populations. Document care to meet hospital quality and safety standards and contribute to continuity of care across inpatient services.
