Pay Range: $22 - $39 per hour

Job Description

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. In this role, you'll set up, operate, and program CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision components that meet exact specifications. You'll work with vertical machining centers, turning centers, and CAM software to support production. This position requires strong troubleshooting and inspection skills, a solid understanding of tooling and materials, and the ability to mentor junior machinists while contributing to production planning and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment
  • Perform turning, drilling, milling, and related operations
  • Load/unload machines and deburr parts using hand tools, sanders, and drill presses
  • Conduct inspections (first article, in-process, and final) using micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Adjust offsets and edit programs for tool wear and material variances
  • Apply G&M codes for machine editing and programming
  • Design and fabricate production and inspection fixtures
  • Maintain machines, coolant levels, cutting tools, and general shop supplies
  • Troubleshoot tooling, material, and programming issues to ensure quality conformance
  • Support scheduling and planning of production jobs
  • Train and mentor less experienced machinists
  • Consistently meet or exceed production and quality performance targets

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with machining
  • Strong inspection and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and hand tools
Preferred:
  • Completion of a Machinist Apprenticeship Program
  • CNC programming certification
  • CNC machine setup and operation experience
  • Experience with CAM software
  • Experience with a variety of materials and tooling
  • Skilled in tool design, quality processes, and mentoring/training
