Warehouse Specialist Full Time Williamsburg, VA, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1008 Salary Range: $22.62 To $22.62 Annually Summary: Our company is searching for a Warehouse Specialist to join our small team as a contractor for the US Navy. We are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual who can withstand uncontrolled temperatures, both hot and cold. A good candidate will pay close attention to detail, follow directions, double-check their work, work well in a group setting or alone, and have strong communication, thinking, and organizational skills. Duties to include but not limited to: Receive assets by inspecting identifying markers such as part number, cage, serial number, barcode and status code Load/Unload trucks Pull/Prepare assets for shipment Validate/Inspect assets as requested to ensure inventory accuracy Always treat assets with care and concern Identify damaged, lost or missing assets and notify supervisor immediately Assist in cleanliness of warehouse Perform run-up and maintenance on rolling stock Operate/work with heavy equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts Qualifications/Skills: -High School Diploma/GED -Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse material handling, packaging, inspection, cataloging, and shipment scheduling/coordination -Valid Driver’s License -Previous warehouse experience preferred -Ability to work alone or with others -Ability to lift 50 pounds -Good organizational skills -Some knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Access a plus Requirements: You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal Successful Completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
