Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist - Cardiac to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide sterile instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
• Perform surgical sponge, needle, and instrument counts accurately.
• Prepare case tables with necessary equipment, sterile supplies, instruments, and medications/solutions for each surgical case.
• Assist in positioning patients for surgical procedures and maintain protective positions throughout the case.
• Create and maintain a sterile and safe environment.
• Engage with surgeons to suggest improvements to instrument sets and streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Preferred Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of three years of independent surgical technologist practice required.
• Valid BLS certification from the AHA or ARC within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification upon hire required.
• Eligibility for CST or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification required upon hire.
• Must live within one hour of Helen Devos Children's Hospital - OR.
