Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for an 8-week contract. The successful candidate will have a strong background in telemetry nursing and possess the ability to float to different medical-surgical units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry setting.
Monitor and interpret EKG results, ensuring patients' safety and emergency readiness.
Care for boarded patients in the emergency department and assist in medical-surgical units when necessary.
Participate in patient assessments and develop care plans based on individual needs.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with established guidelines.

Schedule Details

Shift: 12 hours, Day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Scheduled Hours: 32 hours/week (16 non-billable orientation hours included)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: As needed

Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license required.
BLS certification required.
Passing EKG test required prior to submission.
Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience; 4+ years preferred.
Epic electronic medical records experience is a plus.
New graduates will not be considered for this role.
