Disassembly of customer’s hydraulic cylinders to facilitate repair and return to service.
Typical Duties :
- Dismantles customer’s hydraulic components, cleans, inspects, and evaluates parts for usability.
- Work in Climate controlled area but must expect to get WET, OILY, and DIRTY every day.
- Position is very labor intensive.
- Transport parts to appropriate machine to have repair operations performed.
- Operates special equipment and work to minimize damage to cylinder components during disassembly.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Observes all rules for personal safety and all public laws or regulations for protection of the environment.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to use hand tools, torches, sledgehammers, and pneumatic tools.
- Manual dexterity required for disassembly of intricate parts.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic principles.
- Alert and attentive to details.
- Physically able to stoop, bend, lift and position materials of heavy weight.
- Willingness to work hours (including overtime) or shift assigned.
