As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Enhanced Part Time in El Paso, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a government law enforcement location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and coordinating with appropriate law enforcement personnel.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor activity, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate clearly with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and onsite staff regarding security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
