Clinical PsychologistThe LA ICE Detention Center, located in Alexandria, Louisiana, is a facility operated by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that provides detention services for individuals awaiting immigration proceedings. The center prioritizes the safety and security of detainees while offering various services, including legal resources, educational programs, and recreational activities to support their well-being. With a focus on maintaining humane conditions, the facility aims to ensure that detainees are treated with dignity and respect during their stay, while also facilitating access to necessary medical care and support services.Clinical Psychologist - ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Psychologist treats patients across the lifespan as appropriate to the facility setting.Respond to medical emergencies or coordinate responses as needed.Provide telehealth services as necessary, coordinating with local staff.Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and testing.Develop and monitor treatment plans in coordination with other healthcare professionals, such as behavioral health technicians.The Clinical Psychologist makes referrals for outside treatment facilities for patients requiring advanced care.Assist in detoxification procedures for chemically dependent individuals, providing orientation to medical staff on appropriate actions.Offer substance abuse education and group therapy as part of a comprehensive treatment approach.Serve as a consultant to other health professionals and provide education on mental health topics like suicide prevention and abuse.Facilitate contacts between the patient and their social support systems.The Clinical Psychologist ensures continuity of care in collaboration with HQ Behavioral Health Unit for residents as needed.Clinical Psychologist - RequirementsDoctoral Degree in Psychology from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).Minimum one year of clinical practice at the licensed independent level as a Clinical Psychologist.Experience implementing or managing mental health treatment programs or a Modified Therapeutic Community treatment model.Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license in Louisiana.Maintain BLS certification from the American Heart Association or client.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
