The Master Scheduler develops, maintains, and optimizes the production schedule to ensure on‑time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and alignment with customer demand, coordinating closely with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Procurement to balance capacity, materials, labor, and priorities across multiple facilities. In addition, he/she serves as a subject‑matter expert and ERP Super User, supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s ERP system by ensuring data accuracy, troubleshooting issues, assisting end users, and translating business processes into effective system workflows. This combined role acts as the central point of planning accuracy, driving schedule stability, visibility, and execution while partnering with IT, HR, Finance, Operations, and external vendors to ensure the ERP operates correctly and efficiently.

First 30 to 90 days

Mapping our Supply Chain Process - Work closely with each head of department and team members to identify roles and responsibilities. He/She will be responsible for mapping the process in each Department; Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Procurement, etc. He/She will be creating and implementing transactional training programs and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• System Expertise: Deep understanding of ERP modules relevant to their department (HR, payroll, finance, inventory, production, etc.).

• User Support: Provide day‑to‑day assistance to employees, answer questions, resolve errors, and escalate technical issues when needed.

• Training & Documentation: Train new users, create SOPs, job aids, and process guides.

• Testing & Validation: Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new releases, patches, or configuration changes.

• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to workflows, forms, and data structures.

• Data Integrity: Ensure accurate data entry, perform audits, and correct inconsistencies.

· Change Management: Support system rollouts, communicate changes, and help users adapt to new processes.

· Liaison Role: Act as the bridge between business teams and ERP administrators or vendors.

· Security & Access: Request, review, and validate user permissions based on job roles.

· Reporting: Build or run reports, dashboards, and analytics for leadership.

· Transaction Adjustment - Work closely with each department in the Supply Chain in order to keep control of discrepancies throughout the processes.

· ERP maintenance. Work closely with each department to identify missing or repetitive transactions and adjust ERP accordingly.

· Create and maintain the master production schedule based on demand forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.

· Analyze capacity, labor, and material availability to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable.

· Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Sales to align schedules with operational capabilities and customer commitments.

· Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans proactively to address delays, shortages, or equipment downtime.

· Review and validate ERP data , ensuring accuracy of BOMs, routings, lead times, and work center capacities.

· Lead daily/weekly scheduling meetings to communicate priorities, changes, and constraints.

· Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve throughput and reduce cycle times.

· Develop short‑term and long‑term production plans to support strategic goals and seasonal demand.

· Maintain visibility of all open orders , ensuring accurate promise dates and timely updates to stakeholders.

· Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure material availability aligns with production plans.

· Generate scheduling reports and KPIs , including schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and forecast accuracy.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, workflow, and ERP optimization.

Required Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) are highly valued and often preferred in manufacturing scheduling roles.

• Additional coursework or certification in ERP systems, data analytics, or lean manufacturing is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

• Hands‑on ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central) with demonstrated ability to serve as a departmental Super User.

• Experience working with BOMs, routings, work centers, capacity planning, and MRP.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot ERP issues, support end users, and maintain data accuracy.

• Strong background in cross‑functional coordination with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, IT, and Finance.

• Demonstrated success in high‑volume, multi‑facility scheduling or environments with complex product mixes.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis.

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing experience in steel, fabrication, or discrete production environments.

• Participation in ERP implementations, upgrades, or UAT testing.

• Experience leading or supporting S&OP processes.

• Exposure to continuous improvement, lean principles, or workflow optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Dynamis 365 Business Central ERP implementation experience .

Work Location:

• 30 – 90 first days onsite is a must.

• After 90 days - Remote role offering flexible work locations within the U.S. in the CST zone

• Candidates may reside in any US and must be authorized to work in the US.
