Job Summary

Join a dedicated healthcare team in Ithaca, New York, as a Registered Nurse on a Surgical Short Stay unit. This unit primarily cares for surgical patients, including those undergoing joint replacements, hip fractures, open abdominal surgeries, and neck and back surgeries, with occasional medical patients.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive, direct patient and family-centered nursing care within their full scope of practice. This role involves active participation in the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient and family support and nursing care within the full scope of practice.
• Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services for patients, families, and the community.
• Conduct thorough observation and data collection to assess patients' physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized and ongoing plans of care.
• Work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
