Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory therapy services to patients in various hospital units, ensuring optimal respiratory care and patient outcomes. Collaborate with medical teams to deliver evidence-based treatments across shifts and patient conditions.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer respiratory treatments and interventions, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans according to physician orders and patient response.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with hospital staff to coordinate care plans for patients with respiratory illnesses.
  
  
• 
  Document treatment details accurately in patient records and adhere to compliance standards.
  
  
• 
  Assist in managing ventilator equipment, including Puritan Bennett models V840 and 980's.
  
  
• 
  Support multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings like ICU, ED, and floors, including sleep therapy duties.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold valid BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications, and RRT or RPSGT credentials.
  
  
• 
  Preferably possess PALS certification and experience with sleep therapy.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in managing ventilators, including Puritan Bennett models.
  
  
• 
  Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
  
• 
  Capable of working flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  
  
• 
  Experience working with patients suffering from COPD, post-op CPAP use, RSV, asthma, or pneumonia is preferred.
