As a Hospice Companion Volunteer , you provide comfort and dignity to individuals nearing the end of life by simply being there—offering companionship, listening, reading aloud, holding a hand, or sitting quietly when words aren’t needed. Your time becomes a powerful gift to both patients and their families.
What You’ll Do
- Offer one-on-one companionship to hospice patients
- Provide emotional support through conversation, attentive listening, or quiet presence
- Engage in simple, meaningful activities like reading, music, or reminiscing
- Bring calm, reassurance, and dignity
