Co-op, Biologic Therapeutics Discovery and Engineering

Biogen seeks a student co-op for the Antibody Discovery group to characterize antibody drug candidates and perform biophysical experiments supporting neurodegenerative disease programs. The 6-month role (January–June 2027) involves cross-functional collaboration on discovery and optimization campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Perform in vitro experiments to biophysically characterize antibody drug candidates
- Support discovery and optimization campaigns to nominate lead biologic candidates
- Validate clinical targets for cell-specific drug delivery in neurodegenerative indications
- Contribute experimental results toward drug discovery milestones
Requirements
- Cell culture and sterile laboratory techniques
- Molecular cloning methods and PCR/qRT-PCR expertise
- Experience with protein binding assays (ELISA, MSD) and flow cytometry
- Pursuing a Master's or PhD in biochemistry, immunology, engineering, or related field
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and current enrollment in accredited program
- Preferred: biophysical characterization experience (SPR, BLI, Biacore, or Octet)
- Optional: Python scripting, HPC environments, and machine learning libraries
Compensation: $29.00-$33.00 hourly
