Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Go DeveloperCome join us as a key contributor in improving Megaport's internal developer experience. Sitting within the Platform Engineering team, as a Go developer, you will design, develop, and maintain the tools and APIs that power our engineering organization.You will focus on building robust, Go-based backend services and CLI tooling that automate operational workflows, streamline access management, and ensure our systems adhere to global engineering standards at scale.Only candidates residing in Australia or New Zealand will be considered for this role.What You'll Be DoingDevelop Internal Developer Tooling: Build high-performance Go-based APIs, microservices, and CLI tools that reduce friction, automate manual processes, and enhance productivity for our engineering teams.Engineer Scalable Automation: Design and implement systems that orchestrate workflows between our systems of record, SaaS platforms, and internal infrastructure.Implement Governance-as-Code: Design and maintain automated systems for repository and service oversight, ensuring our engineering ecosystem remains consistent, secure, and aligned with organizational standards as we scale.Build Self-Service Infrastructure: Create and maintain the automated interfaces and abstractions that allow teams to request and manage infrastructure resources securely without Platform team intervention.Operate and Optimize: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain reliable, Go-based backend systems hosted on Kubernetes/EKS.
