Phlebotomist

Overview Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist III - Floater to support our client’s medical facility in Mays Landing, NJ 08330. Location: Mays Landing, NJ 08330. Duration: 3 months. Pay rate: $23.35/hour to $25.74/hour. Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Responsibilities Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures. Explain clearly the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection (e.g., urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all physician orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport. Store specimens at the required temperature and place them accordingly. Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum of 6 months experience. One or more years phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
