We have three lanes fitted with the latest technology for general eye health as well as for specialties such as vision therapy, dry eye and myopia control.

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, eye health evaluations, and the diagnosis and management of ocular conditions. And while not a requirement, it would be preferred if you are interested or already have a background in Myopia Control (extensive training can be provided). Number of days is flexible with a minimum of 2 days per week and pay is based on experience and specialty with bonus structure. Optometric tech does all of the screening because we prefer our doctors to be fully dedicated to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity and ocular health.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including with emphasis on refractive errors and on specialties such as Myopia, Vision Therapy or Dry Eye (we can provide extensive training on each of these).
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or treatments tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens use, and preventive care strategies.
  • Collaborate with optical staff to recommend appropriate eyewear solutions based on patient assessments.
  • Stay current with advancements in Ophthalmology and medical terminology to ensure the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with active certification to practice.
  • Proven experience in medical office settings, preferably with clinic experience in ophthalmology or optometry.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eyefinity or similar platforms for efficient documentation. Training will be provided.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical coding related to eye health.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Experience working with optical equipment and understanding of medical records management.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care.
