This role offers opportunities for advancement within the facility and across other Georgia-Pacific and Koch company locations nationwide.Ready to join a team where your contribution truly makes an impact?Explore what it's like to work in our Corrugated division:How Corrugated Boxes Are Made – Georgia-PacificGeorgia-Pacific: Corrugated OverviewVisit gppackaging.com to learn moreWhat You Will DoProvide leadership and strategic direction to achieve a proactive EHS culture through both management engagement and employee ownership.Align plant-level safety and environmental programs with enterprise vision and regulatory expectations.Manage and maintain environmental permits, documentation, and compliance reporting (air, stormwater, etc.).Lead risk assessment processes to proactively identify and address hazards—enhancing critical hazard awareness and minimizing risk.Champion a strong safety culture through mentoring, coaching, and collaboration across all levels.Build and support EHS training and development systems that ensure continuous learning and regulatory compliance.Facilitate the safety committee and change management processes, helping the team respond effectively to evolving safety standards.Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience in an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) role in a manufacturing, industrial, or military settingExperience with OSHA standards and EH&S regulatory complianceExperience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actionsExperience leading safety training, conduct audits, and management of compliance documentationWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or SafetyExperience managing environmental permitting and regulatory reporting (air, stormwater, etc.)Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring (e.g., noise, dust, carbon monoxide)Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certificationExperience in corrugated manufacturing or paper converting environmentsExperience with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) practicesExperience in key risk areas such as Hazardous Energy Control (LOTO), mobile equipment, and pedestrian safetyAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
